FORT WORTH, Texas – Texas Motor Speedway has been named one of the best NASCAR tracks of 2017 in the annual USA Today’s 10 Best Readers’ Choice poll.

After four weeks of daily voting by fans, TMS finished fifth among the 30 tracks that are run on in all three NASCAR national series. Watkins Glen was first followed by Martinsville, Charlotte and Eldora.

“We are honored to be voted one of the top ten tracks in NASCAR by USA Today readers,” Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage said. “We offer a lot for fans. We have ‘Big Hoss’, the world’s largest TV, our local hotels don’t raise their rates on a race weekend, we have free parking and you can still bring your own cooler into the race. Those are a few of the things we hear from our fans as to why they make Texas their home town track.

“We always hear from our fans they like coming here because they know we care about them,” Gossage added. “When they go to other tracks that might not have some of the amenities we have, they realize why we stand out and why they like to watch races here.”

NASCAR returns to TMS for the AAA Texas 500 triple-header weekend from Nov. 2-5. Tickets are available for the weekend by visiting texasmotorspeedway.com or by calling the ticket office at 817.215.8500.
