Stafford named Senior Communications Manager for Texas Motor Speedway

FORT WORTH – Native Texan and social media strategist Kyle Stafford has begun his duties as Senior Communications Manager at Texas Motor Speedway.

Stafford’s addition to the TMS staff was announced today by Mark Faber, TMS executive vice president/general manager. 

Stafford arrives from Texas A&M University where he was an Associate Director, Athletics Communications overseeing the top-tier Division I baseball and equestrian programs while also assisting with the Aggies’ nationally recognized SEC football program. He has seven years of experience in college athletics highlighted by two national champions, two College World Series appearances, six regular-season conference champions and five conference tournament champs. 

Stafford also played a pivotal role in elevating the brands of 33 All-American players, three National Coaches of the Year and two National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Stoppers of the Year. 

Stafford’s role at Texas Motor Speedway will focus on promoting the annual WÜRTH 400 presented by LIQUI MOLY NASCAR tripleheader weekend, beginning with the 2026 edition set for May 1-3, as well as other major events at “The Great American Speedway.”

“We’re thrilled to add Kyle to our team here at Texas Motor Speedway,” Faber said. “He has a proven track record of success in the communications industry from his time in collegiate athletics. We’re confident that Kyle will elevate the brand, the communications strategy and impact of Texas Motor Speedway.”

A native of Navasota, Texas, Stafford earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from Texas Tech University in Lubbock in 2017. 

Stafford joined Texas A&M in December 2023 with primary day-to-day responsibilities being the baseball and equestrian programs while assisting with football. In his first season in College Station, Stafford led the baseball program’s social media strategy, resulting in a 247.7 percent increase in followers, a 97.2 percent rise in engagements and an 85.2 percent growth in impressions.

“I’m excited to join the team at Texas Motor Speedway and step into the role of Senior Communications Manager,” Stafford said. “I look forward to elevating the brand of Texas Motor Speedway and showcasing it as one of the premier sports and entertainment venues in the country.”

Stafford’s previous stops include Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla.; Keiser University in West Palm Beach, Fla., and Milligan (Tenn.) University. In 2023, he led the social media and promotional efforts for Oral Roberts’ historic run to the College World Series. Throughout the run, he successfully promoted the brands of the program’s first consensus All-Americans.
