Dixie Is Mixin’ It Up with Dixie Vodka

by Dixie Haag | Posted on Sunday, February 28th, 2021

Today’s Dixie Vodka 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway gets me ready to mix it up.  The name “Dixie” get me excited because of my name, but so does the idea of vodka based drinks.  As we watch today’s race, I’ll be sporting my Dixie Vodka tshirt and mixing up some fun libations.  We will be primarily drinking the Speedway Cocktail, but over the course of the race, we will try some other drinks, too.  As Texans, tea is one of our food groups, so the variety of tea drink recipes is awesome!  I also love lemons, so I’m very fond of several of their recipes that feature lemons. Here are some of my favorite recipes from the Dixie Vodka recipes, but do check out the many, many others they have no their website.  Grab some Dixie Vodka and get to mixin’ it up!

Dixie Honey Lemonade

  • 2 oz. Dixie Wildflower Honey Flavored Vodka
  • 6 oz. lemonade
  • Lemon wheel, garnish

In a mason jar with ice, combine lemonade and vodka. Stir and garnish with lemon wheel. Enjoy!

3 oz. Dixie Southern Vodka
3 oz. heavy cream (or substitute any milk or plant-based milk)
2 oz. warm water
2 oz. sugar
2 oz. instant coffee

Add coffee, sugar and water to mixer. Mix until creamy (about 5 minutes.)

Add milk and vodka to a shaker with ice, shake, and divide into two glasses. Top with creamy coffee.

Dixie Mint Tea

2 oz. Dixie Mint Vodka
4 to 6 oz. sweet tea
Sprig of mint
Lemon wedge

Fill a Collins glass with ice, and add sweet tea and Dixie Mint Vodka. Stir. Garnish with a sprig of mint and lemon wedge.

Dixie Firefly

1 oz. ruby red grapefruit juice
0.75 oz. lime juice
0.5 oz. simple syrup
1 sliced jalapeño (reserve a couple slices for garnish)

Add ingredients to shaker, shake well, and strain over ice. Garnish with fresh jalapeño slice.

Dixie Lemon Drop

2 oz. Dixie Citrus Vodka
0.5 oz. triple sec
1 oz. lemon juice
0.5 oz. simple syrup
1 tsp. superfine sugar
Lemon wheel

Chill martini glass in freezer 10 minutes prior to serving. Combine Dixie Citrus Vodka, triple sec, lemon juice, and simple syrup into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well for 30 seconds. Run lemon twist around the edge of chilled martini glass, and press into small amount of superfine sugar for a coated rim. Pour the strained martini into the chilled glass, and garnish with a lemon wheel.

Dixie Peach Tea

2 oz. Dixie Peach Vodka
6 oz. sweet tea
1 fresh peach slice
1 lemon wheel
