Tyler Ankrum earns pole for inaugural NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Toyota Tundra 225 at COTA

AUSTIN, Texas – Tyler Ankrum, driving the No. 26 – Circle B Diecast Chevrolet, earned the pole position for Saturday’s inaugural NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Toyota Tundra 225 race at Circuit of The Americas. He posted the fastest lap clocked at 163.591 seconds, 75.041 mph in his Toyota Tundra.

This marks his first pole award in 54 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races.  It will also be his first top-10 start this season.

Kaz Grala was second fastest in his No. 02 Young’s Building Systems Chevrolet after recording a 163.720, 74.982 mph lap. It will be Grala’s first top-10 start of 2021.

Sheldon Creed, Matt Crafton, Todd Gilliland, John Hunter Nemechek, Cameron Lawrence, Parker Chase, Austin Hill and Christian Eckes round out the top 10. Creed will make his eighth top 10 start in nine races this season.

The Toyota Tundra 225 will start at 12:00 p.m. and will consist of a 41 lap, 139.81 mile race.
