MULTI-PLATINUM ROCK GROUP BUSH TO PERFORM PRE-RACE CONCERT AT NASCAR AUTO CLUB 400 RACE

Fontana, Calif. – Multi-platinum-selling rock band BUSH will headline the pre-race concert to kick off the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Auto Club 400 race on Sunday, March 18 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana. The band (vocalist Gavin Rossdale, drummer Robin Goodridge, guitarist Chris Traynor and bassist Corey Britz) will perform on the main stage in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Fan Zone from 10:30AM – 11:30AM.

BUSH is touring in support of latest release of BLACK AND WHITE RAINBOWS and hit single “This Is War.”  Like all great BUSH concerts, the March 18^th show will see the band playing an electrifying mix of new tracks and classic hits, including “Comedown,” “Glycerine,” “Machinehead,” “Swallowed,” “The Chemicals Between Us” and “The Sound of Winter,” among others.

BUSH has sold close to 20 million records in the U.S. and Canada alone. They’ve also compiled an amazing string of 18 consecutive Top 40 hit singles on the Modern Rock and Mainstream Rock charts. Eleven of those hit the Top 5, six of which shot to No. 1: “Comedown,” “Glycerine,” “Machinehead,” “Swallowed,” “The Chemicals Between Us” and “The Sound of Winter.”

IAN SOMERHALDER TO LEAD MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES DRIVERS TO GREEN FLAG AT AUTO CLUB SPEEDWAY

Ian Somerhalder, best known for his starring role as Damon Salvatore on The Warner Brothers hit television series THE VAMPIRE DIARIES, will be behind the wheel of the Official NASCAR 2018 Toyota Camry Pace Car as Honorary Pace Car Driver when he leads the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers before the start of the Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway on Sunday, March 18, at 12:30 p.m. PT/3:30 p.m. ET, televised on FOX.

Somerhalder also served as director in seasons 6, 7, and 8 of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES before the series ended last year.

Currently the Louisiana native and his wife, actress Nikki Reed, have an overall production deal with Warner Bros TV to produce new content for the studio under their production company RARE BIRDS PRODUCTIONS.

Somerhalder also appeared in an episode of the ground-breaking and Emmy award-winning climate change documentary series, YEARS OF LIVING DANGEROUSLY. His work with environmental concerns led him to develop Go Green Equipment an industry leader in eco friendly power solutions that has become involved in NASCAR.

“I developed and built Go Green Equipment with blood, sweat, and tears and we have a massive interest in NASCAR. The fact that I am able to participate in the Auto Club 400 on this level is amazing. This is my second race this year! I’ve seen some great talent in this role, so I’m super pumped to be included in that list of honorary pace car drivers,” said Somerhalder.

CASSADEE POPE WILL PERFORM NATIONAL ANTHEM AT AUTO CLUB 400

Grammy-nominated hitmaker Cassadee Pope will perform the National Anthem prior to the start of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Auto Club 400 at Auto Club Speedway on March 18, 2018 starting at 11:50 a.m. and will be televised on FOX. Pope is no stranger to singing the National Anthem at the Southern California racetrack– she performed in 2009 for the NASCAR XFINITY Series 300 race.

The songwriter and musician has top hits including “I am Invincible,” “Summer,” and a popular duet with Chris Young titled “Think of You.”  She was the lead vocalist for the rock band Hey Monday. She embarked on a solo career in 2012; became the first female winner on The Voice in 2012; and debuted her solo country album, Frame by Frame in October 2013, followed by Summer, which was released in June 2016.  Pope is working on her next project, set for release this spring.

REGIONAL MEXICAN MUSIC SENSATION CHIQUIS TO PERFORM RACE MORNING AT NASCAR AUTO CLUB 400

Award-winning Regional Mexican music recording artist, performer, songwriter, and reality star, Janney Marín Rivera, better known as Chiquis, will debut her new duet single “Quisieran tener mi lugar,” which features a duet with her late mother, Jenni Rivera. Chiquis take the main stage at 8:45 a.m. in the O’Reilly Auto Parts Fan Zone on Sunday, March 18 prior to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Auto Club 400 race. Chiquis will also perform top hits including “Horas Extras” and “Vas a Volver.”

Chiquis began her career in television, becoming a pioneer of “reality shows” for Hispanics, with hit shows like “Chiquis and Raq-C,” “I love Jenni,” “Chiquis n Control” and “Chiquis Confidential.”  This past October, Chiquis returned to television with her new reality show The Riveras.

In 2013, fulfilling a promise made to her late mother Jenni Rivera, Chiquis launched her career as a singer. In less than two years, her first album “Ahora” obtained No. 1 twice on the iTunes sales charts.  Chiquis has been named Female Artist of the Year (Lo Nuestro Awards 2017); Regional Mexican Female Artist of the Year (Lo Nuestro Awards 2016); Female Artist of the Year (Premios de La Radio 2015); and Fan Club of the Year #BossBee (Premios Tu Mundo 2014).

CAST OF SUPER TROOPERS 2 NAMED GRAND MARSHALS OF MONSTER ENERGY NASCAR CUP SERIES AUTO CLUB 400 RACE

The Super Troopers will be in full comedic force at the upcoming Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Auto Club 400 race. Mac, Thorny, Foster, Rabbit and Farva have been promoted to Grand Marshals and will give the command “Drivers, start your engines,” on March 18, 2018 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana.

Everyone’s favorite law enforcement team is back by popular demand with the long anticipated follow up to the cult comedy classic…SUPER TROOPERS.  When an international border dispute arises between the U.S. and Canada, the Super Troopers – Mac, Thorny, Foster, Rabbit and Farva, are called in to set up a new Highway Patrol station in the disputed area. Unconventional police work follows, and the result is…SUPER TROOPERS 2 opening nationwide April 20, 2018.
