LAS VEGAS – There will be plenty of star power at the Penzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube, and we would expect no less form Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  The 267-lap race is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Pacific Time and will be televised live on FOX, with pre-race activities kicking off at approximately 11 a.m. on the front stretch.

Throttle down, pedal to the metal.  I just want to get them off to a great start, and I couldn’t be more excited to have the opportunity. It’s an honor to be out there with such talented drivers, and I know I’m going to really enjoy watching our NASCAR counterparts.”

Brown has won several times here in Vegas, including last year, and is looking forward to doing it again next month!

In addition to famous people, the iconic Las Vegas welcome sign is coming to Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

A 15-foot-tall replica of the world-famous “Welcome To Fabulous Las Vegas” sign will be a must-see attraction in the speedway’s fan-engagement area during this weekend’s NASCAR tripleheader. Fans will be able to take photos in front of the sign and are encouraged to share them on social media throughout the race weekend, and the display also will be equipped with a prize wheel for visitors to enjoy.

The display will be a touring experience that will travel to other Speedway Motorsports Inc. facilities throughout the year to promote the city of Las Vegas as a travel destination. The replica – mounted on a 17’x18′ platform – was produced by CSM Events in Charlotte.

“The Welcome To Las Vegas Sign is one of the most iconic images of our destination and is recognized around the world,” said Rossi Ralenkotter, CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority. “We are excited to have the sign promoting Las Vegas throughout the NASCAR season as part of our great partnership with Speedway Motorsports and Las Vegas Motor Speedway.”
