“Laps For Charity” gives fans a chance to drive their own cars at Texas Motor Speedway

FORT WORTH – Texas Motor Speedway and Speedway Children’s Charities is offering the general public a chance to drive on TMS’ reconfigured and repaved 1.5-mile speedway during an event called “Laps for Charity.”

Race fans will be given an opportunity to drive their personal vehicles on the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway oval at the “Laps For Charity” event on Saturday at TMS. The event benefits Speedway Children’s Charities.

The one-day event is for Saturday, May 13, from 5-10 p.m.  Fans will be allowed to take their personal car or motorcycle around the speedway for a three-laps experience that is complete with a visit to Sunoco Victory Lane for a commemorative individual photo.

The three-lap experience and photo is $40 with an advance purchase or $50 the day of the event. The “Laps for Charity” event will also feature live music and a car show, with admission at $10 per car for those not purchasing a lap package.
