FORT WORTH, Texas –  Texas Motor Speedway once again becomes the home of one of the largest holiday light displays in the state as the world-renowned motorsports facility opens its gates for the “Gift of Lights” drive-through holiday lighting spectacular.

Beginning Thanksgiving Day through Dec. 30, families can enjoy the two-mile drive of light displays throughout the speedway. The display will be open every day during those dates, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, from 6-10 p.m. CT.

This year’s “Gift of Lights” is bigger and better than ever. During the drive, guests will enjoy more than 150 new light displays and more than a million more LED lights than last year, bringing the total of LED lights to three million. This holiday festival is once again brought to the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex by Christmas by Zenith, the premier provider of holiday displays.

An added featured this year is the ability to purchase 3-D glasses at the entrance to enhance your viewing pleasure of the ‘Gift of Lights’. The glasses, available in snowflake or reindeer style, are $3 each or two for $5.

“Every year the ‘Gift of Lights’ is one of the best events that takes place at our facility,” Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage said. “With their new displays and almost one million more lights than in previous years, this season should prove to be the biggest of them for this holiday tradition.”

Santa’s Village returns to the speedway infield, where cars will be directed at the conclusion of their trip through the “Gift of Lights.” The 22,000-square foot village will feature the opportunity to get a photo with Santa Claus (through Dec. 24), dance with Olaf from “Frozen”, take a ride on a miniature train, make your own ornament, see a few race cars or visit Ted E’s Kitchen or Maui Wowi for food, drinks and smoothies. Guests also will have the opportunity to purchase “Light-Up” keepsake ornaments for the charity of their choice at Santa’s Village.

“Gift of Lights” is partnering with Speedway Children’s Charities-Texas Chapter, DFW Toys for Tots, Ronald McDonald House of Fort Worth, Scottish Rite Hospital and KLTY 94.9FM Christmas Wish. A portion of the proceeds of each ticket sold will benefit these organizations.

Tickets will be available at the gate for $25 per vehicle or $20 if guests bring a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. Tickets also can be purchased in advance at www.tmsgiftoflights.com.

To access the display entrance gate, turn off Highway 114 in front of the speedway onto Labonte Lane and then take a left onto Lone Star Circle in front of the Lone Star condominium building.
