“We’re thrilled to return to the Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway for our season opening races,” said TORC Series director Ben Nelson. “We can’t wait to bring our fender-to-fender, no-holds barred action back to the amazing fans in the Lone Star State.”
This weekend’s action takes place on a purpose built track at the Dirt Track at Texas Motor Speedway, which is transformed for TORC Series racing to include a huge jump that will see trucks fly 130 feet through the air, a challenging 200-foot rhythm section, and 12-degree banked turns. The series brings in some 550 truckloads of dirt and works for seven days to construct its specialized short course off-road racing track.
AMSOIL driver Scott Douglas is back to battle for championship victory in the highlight PRO 4WD category, while stars including Keegan Kincaid and Brad Lovell return to the series this season in PRO 2WD. The young guns of the hotly contested Atturo Tires PRO Light include Luke Johnson and Kyle Hart.
