San Antonio Raceway hosted the Outlaw Fuel Altered Association and Southwest Heritage Racing Association version of Nitro Jam featuring the nitro-burning Fuel Altereds, Dragsters, Funny Cars, plus Nostalgia Super Stocks racing in their own timed categories. The Alkydigger Nostalgia Eliminator 1(4.65) N.E. 2(5.00) and N.E. 3(5.50), all +/- .05, while OFAA are a heads up class. By JM Hallas PAIGE, Texas – Under new management. At the end of the 2017 racing season the future of Cotton Bowl Speedway was up in the air after the Bennett family stepped away as promoters. In December MAN Racing Promotion announced they were taking over the job as promoter. Mary Ann Naumann, a former racer herself and husband H.E. Naumann, another racer, have adequate experience in the racing field. By JM Hallas PLEASANTON, Texas – Saturday’s portion of the Big Bucks Shootout saw the Modifieds return to action on the ¼ mile, semi-banked, track and had four drivers from Friday with a chance to pick up some bonus money if they could repeat. Marcus Mikulencak(Sport Modifieds-$175), Mike Trigg(Street Stock-$175), Dakota Heinaman(Pure Stock-$175) and Trevor Bettis(Sport Compact-$125) were the drivers to have the extra money in their sights. After a successful re-opening, the I-37 Speedway season winds down with its annual Big Bucks Shootout on the ¼ mile, semi-banked, dirt track. While most season ending, multi-day shows are set up to qualify one day then run features the next, I-37 split it shows up with both nights being separate shows, with separate payouts. Only two races remain in the STLMS season with the finale held next month at Gator Motorplex in Willis.
