FORT WORTH, Texas – Photographer Michael C. Johnson captured NASCAR Camping World Series driver Timothy Peters’ horrific crash at the end of Friday’s Winstaronlinegaming.com 400 at Texas Motor Speedway.

On Lap 166 (white flag lap) Austin Wayne Self’s No. 22 Don’t Mess With Texas Toyota spun and made contact with Peters as they exited the dogleg and headed down the track’s frontstretch. Peters’ No. 99 Metabo Chevrolet Silverado spun and caught the infield grass, sending it airborne and his truck ended up on its roof.  Before Peters could be extricated from the wreckage his truck had to be turned over by safety officials.  Peters was evaluated at the track’s infield care center and released.
