with a 20-image\u00a0photo gallery\u00a0for fans to pay tribute to him on their social media platforms leading into Sunday&#8217;s AAA Texas 500 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nascar.com\">NASCAR<\/a> Sprint Cup Series race at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.texasmotorspeedway.com\">Texas Motor Speedway<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Using &#8220;Throwback Thursday&#8221; for its social integration theme, the speedway kicks off &#8220;#TBT Goes Up In Smoke&#8221; beginning today with a selection of photos that span Stewart&#8217;s versatile career at Texas Motor Speedway dating to the facility&#8217;s inaugural season of 1997.<\/p>\n<p>The speedway is encouraging fans to select their favorite &#8220;Throwback Thursday&#8221; photo of Stewart from the gallery and pay tribute to the three-time Sprint Cup Series champion by posting the image on their social media platforms with the hashtag, #TMSSmoke.<\/p>\n<p>The photos showcase Stewart competing in four different racing series throughout the years &#8211; NASCAR Sprint Cup and XFINITY, Verizon IndyCar Series and the International Race of Champions &#8211; as well as his two Sprint Cup victories and pole positions at Texas Motor Speedway.<\/p>\n<p>Other photos feature Stewart with his hero, racing legend A.J. Foyt, during his INDYCAR days; visiting with a military veteran that lost both legs in combat during his annual &#8220;Smoke Show&#8221; Fantasy Camp for Speedway Children&#8217;s Charities-Texas; unveiling Danica Patrick&#8217;s car for her first Sprint Cup season; and taking part in the dedication of the speedway&#8217;s Tony Stewart Bridge.<\/p>\n<p>Click on the slideshow above to view the photo gallery.<\/p>\n<p>Texas Motor Speedway will play host to a NASCAR tripleheader weekend beginning with the Camping World Truck Series Striping Technology 350 on Friday, Nov. 4 (7:30 p.m. CT).
