The 2025 Daytona 500 race week is upon us and today marks only four days before the NASCAR Cup Series drivers line up for the most prestigious event on the schedule. The number four holds a special and honored place when it comes to the Daytona 500. Only four drivers in the race\u2019s great 66-year history to date have won back-to-back 500s \u2013 Richard Petty (1973-74), Cale Yarborough (1983-84), Sterling Marlin (1994-95) and Denny Hamlin (2019-2020). This year, defending winner, Hendrick Motorsports\u2019 William Byron will be attempting to join that short and esteemed list.<\/p>\n
