FORT WORTH \u2013 Speedway Motorsports is expanding its iconic brand during the Chili Bowl Nationals via a partnership with RMS Racing\u2019s Brad Sweet.<\/p>\n
Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth and Las Vegas Motor Speedway will sponsor Sweet during the annual dirt racing marathon scheduled for Jan. 12-19 in Tulsa, Okla.<\/p>\n
Sweet, co-owner and defending Kubota High Limit Racing champion, will sport a paint scheme depicting the two speedways that will host both NASCAR and High Limit events later this year. Fans will get a first glance of the new scheme during Sunday’s practice session. Sweet also will compete in Monday’s Race of Champions, Tuesday’s Preliminary Night and Saturday’s Chili Bowl finale. All events will be streamed live on FloRacing.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Chili Bowl is one of the marquee dirt racing events of the year,\u201d said Sweet, a 39-year-old native of Grass Valley, Calif. \u201cTo carry the names of two of the greatest speedways in the country on our car will be a lot of fun. Both Las Vegas and Texas are home to some of the best NASCAR races, but they also have two of the greatest dirt racing facilities in the country. It would be incredible to win this event carrying their names.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Kubota High Limit Racing series\u2019 partnership with Speedway Motorsports continued to grow late last year, when a new home for its season-opening race was announced in “The Entertainment Capital of the World.” That event will be held at The Dirt Track at LVMS on March 13 and 15. The debut of Kubota High Limit Racing at LVMS will mark the first time in six years that a national Sprint Car series will compete at the half-mile oval.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to see this partnership between Speedway Motorsports and both of our speedways at such a renowned event like the Chili Bowl,” LVMS President Chris Powell said. “Brad is a fierce competitor, an all-around great racer and we hope to see \u2018our car\u2019 in Victory Lane. He now has all of us at LVMS, TMS and Speedway Motorsports rooting for him.”<\/p>\n
Sweet is a familiar face at \u201cThe Great American Speedway\u201d in Cowtown. Last October, he donned the cowboy hat and celebrated in Victory Lane after winning the High Limit preliminary night event.<\/p>\n
