Austin, Texas – After a two week pause in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series<\/a> (NCWTS) schedule, Austin Wayne Self<\/strong> and his No.22 AM Racing Technical Solutions Toyota team return to action in their home state of Texas for this weekend’s Rattlesnake 250 at Texas Motor Speedway<\/a> on Friday, June 10.<\/div>\n

A native son of Austin, Texas, Self, will make his first ever start at Texas Motor Speedway and his seventh overall career start in the NCWTS.\u00a0 Building a strong rookie campaign, the 20-year old driver and his newly formed team currently occupy the 20th<\/sup> position in the point standings.<\/div>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a dream come true to come back to Texas and race in front of my hometown fans,\u201d said Self.<\/div>\n
\n

\u201cTexas is where I saw my first NASCAR race when I was five-years old.\u00a0 It\u2019s truly going to be surreal when I get out there and turn my first laps.\u201d<\/p>\n

Looking to better his career best 15th<\/sup> place finish which came earlier in the year at Martinsville, Self looks ahead to his home track, in search for his first career top-10 finish.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe continue to work and put a lot of effort into this team.\u00a0 We\u2019ve had some really strong runs get spoiled this year.\u00a0 Nothing would be better than getting our first top ten this weekend and share it with all our great partners who\u2019ll be out in full force supporting me and our team.\u201d<\/p>\n

In celebration of AM Racing\u2019s homecoming, the team will host a good ole fashion Texas Barbeque provided by local favorite and supporter, Blacks Barbeque, for a large contingency of Texas based partners and guests, including AM Technical Solutions, Don\u2019t Mess with Texas, Go Texan, Rick\u2019s Salsa, Texas Tea, and Four Escobars.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat more could we ask for – this weekend\u2019s Camping World truck race is in our home state at the Texas Motor Speedway! It\u2019s a first for Austin, and we will be there in full force to support him and the entire AMTS 22 team,\u201d says Dan Codi, CEO of AM Technical Solutions. \u201cWe know this is a day Austin has been dreaming about for quite some time, and he really wants to perform well for his entire Texas family.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pre-race party will feature country music artist, Keith Kelso, who\u2019ll deliver an intimate performance with Texas Motor Speedway serving as a dramatic backdrop. Kelso, well-known within the Austin, Texas music scene and all over the country, will deliver his rich blend of country vocals prior to Friday night\u2019s main event.<\/p>\n

AM Racing will also welcome Sid Miller, the Commissioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture, who will serve as the team\u2019s celebrity guest and sit atop the pit box during the Rattlesnake 250.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am excited to see the GO TEXAN truck in action at this week\u2019s Camping World Truck Series race,\u201d Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller said. \u201cThe Texas Department of Agriculture is proud to promote a Texas-owned company like AM Racing that, in turn, supports so many other Lone Star businesses and GO TEXAN members like Toyota, Black\u2019s Barbecue, Texas Tea and Four Escobars. Everyone at the Texas Department of Agriculture will be rooting for Austin Wayne Self and his team this Friday! \u201d<\/p>\n

First Practice session starts at 2:30 p.m., Second Practice Session starts at 4:30 p.m. and the final Practice Session starts at 6:30 p.m.\u00a0 Keystone Light Pole Qualifying will take place Friday, June 10 at 5:00 p.m. Follow Live on FS1.
