FORT WORTH, Texas. \u2013 Riding the momentum from two consecutive top-15 finishes in his most recent NASCAR Camping World Truck Series<\/a> (NCWTS), AM Racing driver Austin Wayne Self<\/strong> seeks to keep the momentum train rolling in Friday night\u2019s winstaronlinegaming.com<\/a> 400 at Texas Motor Speedway<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"\"Not only is Texas Motor Speedway considered Self\u2019s hometown track, but the 1.5-mile speedway is the site of one of Self\u2019s career-best finishes on an intermediate track last June.<\/p>\n

 \u201cI can\u2019t wait to get back on the track this week,\u201d said Self, a native of Austin, Texas. \u201cWe\u2019ve had a lot of good things happen with our AM Racing team over the last month or so and we really need to carry this momentum to Texas on Friday night.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt an important race for a lot of reasons, I consider Texas Motor Speedway to be my home track and I always strive to do better than I did last time. Not only for myself but also for the team and partners that we have on board.\u201d<\/p>\n

Armed with a similar truck that he raced at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway last month, Self says he hopes he can take with what he learned in his 12th<\/sup>-place finish and apply it at Texas.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a couple starts in a truck at Texas, but this weekend will be a little different,\u201d Self explained. \u201cTexas has an adjusted layout and new asphalt. That has the tendency to make things a little interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThankfully, we have three practice sessions on Thursday to dial in our No. 22 Toyota Tundra and see what we can come up with for the race. As good as we ran at Charlotte, I would be disappointed with anything less than another top-15 finish.\u201d<\/p>\n

Self, 22, will make his third career NCWTS start at Texas Motor Speedway with a track best of 13th<\/sup> after starting 18th<\/sup> last June. Earlier this year Self scored his career-best finish in trucks with a runner-up showing in the season-opening NextEra Energy Resources 250 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway in Feb.<\/p>\n

The winstaronlinegaming.com<\/a> 400k (167 laps \/ 250.5 miles) is the seventh of 23 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races on the 2017 schedule. Practice begins on June 8 from 3:00 p.m. \u2013 3:55 p.m., a second practice session has been etched from 5:00 p.m. \u2013 5:55 p.m. with a final practice session is set for 7:00 p.m. \u2013 7:55 p.m. Qualifying is set for race day, Fri., June 9 beginning at 4:35 p.m. The 32-truck field will take the green flag shortly after 7:00 p.m. with live coverage on FOX Sports 1 (FS1), the Motor Racing Network (Radio) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio (Satellite Radio, Channel 90).
