Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker and various city officials are keenly aware of the impact the NASCAR race weekend at Texas Motor Speedway provides to the area as an annual economic engine and boon to tourism.<\/p>\n

In a ceremonial tribute to Sunday\u2019s W\u00fcrth 400 presented by LIQUI MOLY NASCAR Cup Series race, Mayor Parker has proclaimed to temporarily rename the city \u201cFort W\u00fcrth\u201d on race day to acknowledge the significance of this annual major sporting event.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s truly an incredible honor for W\u00fcrth to have the City of Fort Worth recognize our involvement with Texas Motor Speedway by renaming the city ‘Fort W\u00fcrth’ on May 4, 2025,\u201d said Thomas O\u2019Neill, Member of the Central Management Board of the W\u00fcrth Group. \u201cThis gesture is extremely meaningful to our entire organization and to the thousands of W\u00fcrth Group employees around the globe who take immense pride in everything we do. We are deeply grateful to Mayor Mattie Parker and the great city of Fort Worth for welcoming us with such open arms and for their tremendous support. We look forward to celebrating this historic moment together and building an even stronger bond between W\u00fcrth, Texas Motor Speedway, and this amazing community.”<\/p>\n

Since opening in 1997, Texas Motor Speedway has staged numerous races and events that have helped raise the awareness of Fort Worth as a vibrant city and tourist destination. It will be no different for the W\u00fcrth 400 presented by LIQUI MOLY NASCAR tripleheader. The race weekend already has attracted fans from all 50 states and 15 international countries including Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland and Uruguay.<\/p>\n

The W\u00fcrth 400 presented by LIQUI MOLY will be televised nationally on FS1 beginning at 2:30 p.m. CT and also available to more than 200 countries through NASCAR\u2019s international feeds.<\/p>\n

The proclamation, sponsored and signed by Mayor Parker, states in part:<\/p>\n

In addition to the W\u00fcrth 400 presented by LIQUI MOLY, Texas Motor Speedway also will host NASCAR\u2019s two other national series. The CRAFTSMAN Truck Series SpeedyCash.com 250 opens the weekend at 7 p.m. today and will be followed by the Xfinity Series Andy\u2019s Frozen Custard 300 on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.<\/p>\n

The extended ticket office hours are 9 a.m. \u2013 7 p.m. today and Saturday-Sunday from 10 a.m. \u2013 4 p.m.<\/p>\n
