AVONDALE, Ariz. – NASCAR welcomed Freeway Insurance as a Premier Partner Friday morning at Phoenix Raceway, the announcement coming as on-track action got underway for the highly anticipated Championship Weekend at the famous one-mile oval.

A longtime personal and team sponsor of NASCAR Cup Series driver Daniel Suarez, Freeway Insurance has doubled down on its involvement in the sport. Next season it joins Coca-Cola, Busch Light and Xfinity as the four pillar sponsors of NASCAR. Freeway will also serve as MRN Radio sponsor of the 2026 “Choose Rule” used on race re-starts as well as become the Fall Phoenix race title sponsor

All of that comes in addition to serving as a sponsor for Suarez, who makes his last start for Trackhouse Racing this weekend before moving to No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet next season.

“We feel blessed that we are next to such iconic brands and it’s allowing us to really move to that next level and expand our national reach,” said Freeway Insurance CEO Cesar Soriano. “And we’re very proud of NASCAR in allowing us to do this with them and alongside them to take a mid-level size company like ours and strive for our aspiration

“So today is really an epic and exciting time for all of us at Freeway.”

As for the sport, formalizing this deal with a new headline-company has great benefits and speaks to the positive trajectory of the sport.

“For NASCAR this partnership is a huge win and what it shows is these types of strong national brands see value in the platform we built,” said NASCAR’s Executive Vice President and Chief Partnership and Licensing Officer Michelle Byron.

For Suarez, the long-standing relationship comes from very humble beginnings – a speech the NASCAR champion driver made for the company has essentially become a years-long association leading Freeway to increase its footprint not only with Suarez personally, but with the whole sport in general.

“For me, that’s just the perfect scenario of what a personal partnership can do for you,” Suarez said. “For me, Freeway Insurance is more than a sponsor. We share a lot of values together.

“You know for me diversity and inclusion is something very, very important and very special. A very large percentage of customers and employees of Freeway Insurance are Hispanic so for me, I think this is going to be a very, very big deal and continue to push the sport to new boundaries and hopefully push diversion and inclusivity.”
