FORT WORTH, Texas – Jared Leto’s “Mars Across America” journey will make a stop Wednesday at Texas Motor Speedway.

The Thirty Seconds To Mars lead singer and Academy Award-winning actor will join NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Tyler Reddick of JR Motorsports and Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage for a special media and promotional event.

Leto will take a Team Texas two-seater stock-car ride with Reddick behind the wheel. The car will have a special wrap that will be unveiled at the event featuring the cover art of their new album America that debuts Friday, April 6. Gossage also will make a special presentation to Leto.

Leto, who is celebrating the release of the album America, is visiting unique destinations across America and meeting with people that make our country special. He will walk, run, climb, bus, drive, hitchhike, and ultimately do whatever it takes to complete this interactive nationwide journey and get himself to Los Angeles on Friday, April 6, for the album release.

Track officials said that TMS is preparing for this weekend’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 NASCAR doubleheader (April 6-8) and Leto’s “Mars Across America” journey wanted to make a stop at the venue because the sport and its fans are a part of the American fabric.

The 22-year old Reddick, driver of the No. 9 BurgerFi Chevrolet for JR Motorsports, will be competing in the My Bariatric Solutions 300 NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Saturday.

Reddick won the season-opening Xfinity Series race at Daytona, edging teammate Elliott Sadler in a photo finish that was declared  the closest race ever in Daytona International Speedway history. He currently is second in the NASCAR Xfinity Series standings, trailing Sadler by four points. Reddick has four top-10 finishes in five starts this season.

Texas Motor Speedway’s race week kicks off with practice and qualifying for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 on Friday; NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying followed by the NXS My Bariatric Solutions 300 on Saturday (2 p.m. CT); and culminating with the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500 race on Sunday (1 p.m. CT).

Leto and Thirty Seconds To Mars will be returning to Dallas/Fort Worth on July 11 for a Monolith Tour stop at the Starplex Pavilion.
