The 100,000-watt KFWR 95.9 FM The Ranch and other group affiliates in the LKCM Radio Group focused in the north central Texas and southern Oklahoma coverage region will broadcast live, expanded coverage of Texas Motor Speedway’s three major motorsports race weekends. The group will air a combined minimum of 32 hours of live broadcasts from the Duck Commander 500 NASCAR doubleheader (April 7-9), Firestone 600 INDYCAR/NASCAR doubleheader (June 9-11) and AAA Texas 500 NASCAR tripleheader (Nov. 3-6).

The comprehensive coverage will be highlighted by live race broadcasts of every major series competing during those weekends – NASCAR Sprint Cup, XFINITY and Camping World Truck Series as well as the Verizon IndyCar Series – through motorsports radio networks PRN, MRN and IMS Radio Network. The Ranch also will provide weekend race traffic conditions, various promotions and live at-track broadcasting during the three race weekends.

“Texas Motor Speedway and LKCM Radio Group have been consistently growing our relationship since 2010,” Texas Motor Speedway Assistant General Manager and Vice President of Events Kenton Nelson said. “This is a landmark deal for both parties, and we are looking forward to continuing to expand our reach to all motorsports fans with not only The Ranch, but all of the stations that make up the regional footprint that the LKCM Radio Group encompasses.”

The Ranch and LKCM Radio Group affiliates also will air live broadcasts of NASCAR’s season-opening Daytona 500 (Sunday, Feb. 21) and INDYCAR’s marquee Indianapolis 500 (Sunday, May 29).

The partnership will involve the following affiliates from the LKCM Radio Group: KFWR 95.9 FM The Ranch (Jacksboro, TX); KTFW 92.1 FM, Hank FM (Glen Rose, TX); KRVF 106.9 FM, The Ranch (Kerens, TX); KXPN 95.5 FM, ESPN (Scotland, TX); KYBE 95.9 FM, The Coyote (Fredrick, OK); KKAJ 95.7 FM, Texoma Country (Davis, OK); KTRX 92.7 FM, Texoma Rocks (Dickson, OK); KYNZ 107.1 FM, The Greatest Hits of the 60’s and 70’s (Lone Grove, OK); and KVSO 1240 AM, Texoma Sports (Ardmore, OK).

This is a landmark deal for the LKCM Radio Group as the company embarks on its first official partnership with a sports entity in the 14-year history of the company.

“Texas Motor Speedway does a phenomenal job engaging their fan base,” LKCM Radio Group President Gerry Schlegel said. “We are excited to partner with their entire team. Our teams have worked together in recent years and we see a lot of synergy in the way we market and position our brands.

“This is an opportunity to engage more people with the whole experience Texas Motor Speedway offers, while introducing them to our products and expanding the coverage area for motorsports in north central Texas. 95.9 The Ranch and our group will add more horsepower to Texas Motor Speedway, and Texas Motor Speedway will add more horsepower to The Ranch.”

In addition to the various and mutual sponsor, advertising and signage opportunities, other benefits of the partnership include:

  • Live broadcasts by multiple LKCM Radio Group affiliates during each race weekend as well as The Ranch broadcasting live from Texas Motor Speedway’s Media Day.
  • Several LKCM affiliates airing the Texas Motor Speedway Total Access Radio Network’s weekly, hour-long motorsports show 52 weeks a year and the Total Access Today 90-second daily motorsports updates five days a week.
